Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Stock Transfer Process Lot Wise
1. Navigation
- Access
the Parts Module in the application.
- Navigate
to Inventory and select Stock Transfer.
2. Verify Part Availability
- Before
initiating a stock transfer, check the Part Lot Detail Report to
confirm the available quantity of the part and the corresponding MRP.
3. Follow FIFO Principle
- Ensure
that the stock transfer is created with reference to the lot in date,
following the First In, First Out (FIFO) principle.
4. Partial Transfers for Multiple MRPs
- In
cases where multiple MRPs exist for the same part quantity, users should
create the stock transfer partially, ensuring that each transfer
aligns with a specific lot and its respective MRP. But one transfer at one
time in case of partial transfers.
- Check
below snapshots, where fig 1. is referring to the stock available with
multiple MRP.
- Fig. 2
referring that if took the lot FIFO wise the MRP which reflects is
correct, save it.
- Fig. 3
referring to that, take the next stock with another MRP and save in new
doc not in the existing.
- Hence
in all the below images the MRP is reflecting correctly if followed the
FIFO rule.

5. Single MRP at the Same Location
- If the
part quantity at a location has a single MRP, the system will not
calculate an average, and the transfer can proceed directly.
6. Handling Multiple Lots
- If the
user merges quantities from two or more lots during the stock
transfer, the system will automatically calculate the average MRP
for the transfer.

Fig. 4. Merging the multiple lot calculates the avg.
7. Final Verification
- Before
saving the stock transfer document, the user must:
- Verify
the MRP using the Part Lot Detail Report.
- Ensure
all details align with the actual lot and MRP information.
Notes:
- Accuracy
in verifying the Part Lot Detail Report and adhering to FIFO is
critical to ensure correct stock transfer and financial reporting.
- Partial
transfers are essential to maintain MRP accuracy when dealing with
multiple lots.
